An introductory meeting with the Mayor of Thessaloniki was held by the French company Fifteen, one of the largest micromobility companies in Europe that has manufactured and operates more than 50,000 bikes in some of the most well-known shared bike systems, such as Velib in Paris, Marseille, Helsinki , in Moscow, etc.
During the meeting, the best practices of design, development and operation of shared bicycle systems in European cities were discussed, as well as the initiatives of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, which participates in the European Mission for the 100 “Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities” (Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities ) with the aim of actions and projects for the transition of Thessaloniki towards climate neutrality by 2030.
The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Konstantinos Zervas, the Mayor’s special advisor, Mr. Georgios Kalaitzidis, the Commercial Development Director of Fifteen, Jean Michel Boez, the Deputy Director of the Transport Institute, Ms. Georgia Ayfantopoulou, and the Managing Director of BrainBox, Fifteen’s partner in Greece, Mr. George Voulgaroudis.
